Licences
OpenDMD is open source: MIT or Apache 2.0, at your option.
It is built on other open-source software, used under the licences listed in these notices, with each licence's full text:
- The firmware: what the installer writes to the board (the firmware, its bootloader and the updater): Espressif's ESP-IDF (Apache 2.0, with FreeRTOS, lwIP, Mbed TLS, wpa_supplicant, FatFs and the C library), the HUB75 display driver, and the Rust crates.
- The web app: the Rust crates in its WebAssembly, and the headings' font, Silkscreen (SIL Open Font License 1.1).
- The installer uses ESP Web Tools (Apache 2.0), which your browser loads from jsDelivr.
The player carries the firmware's and the web app's notices too: in the web app, Settings › Device › About › Open-source licences.
Find art for a game searches a list of game names taken from the file names of the
libretro-thumbnails collections (published here
as art-index/); the pictures come from those collections when you search, and are never
stored on this site.
The demo's and this site's animations are recordings of OpenDMD's own Formulas, and the Kenney Pixel Platformer sprites (CC0).
